The object of Bushwalking Tasmania is: “To unite all associations actively concerned with bushwalking and mountaineering for the protection and advancement of their mutual interests”.
Walking in Tasmania varies from coastal tracks such as the popular South Coast Track to spectacular alpine country such as on the Overland or Western Arthurs tracks and everything in between. As in the other southern states weather is changeable at all times of the year and walkers must be prepared for all conditions.
